Today we attended a Naagapratishtha program. It is a religious ritual. A Naaga is carved of a stone and is made to undergo different rituals for forty days. On the last day after proper pooja the same is installed at a consecrated plot-form. This is the highest reverence dedicated to Naaga or AdiShesha or the serpent God. He is the God to whom we pray for health and liberation from all illness.
The serpent coiled is also the Kundalini shakti laying at the bottom of the vertibral column. Proper activation of the same leads to Moksha.
Hence the program is very unique, special and significant. I am gld that we had the opportunity to attend such a program.
